Who are we? How did we get started and what do we do?
Established in the motorcycle business in 1965, Granby Motors is one of the UK's leading independent retail and wholesale motorcycle businesses. We are the biggest non-franchised motorcycle dealer in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Granby Motors has a modern retail outlet in Ilkeston, Derbyshire as well as large warehousing facilities, all located within easy reach of the M1 Motorway.
Granby Motors now sells all major makes of motorcycles, spares and accessories to bikers across the UK and beyond.

The UK motorcycle market is marked in recent years by the rise in availability of Chinese-manufactured motorcycles costing a fraction of their Japanese and European equivalents. We think that anything that increases choice and lowers the cost of getting into motorcycling is a GOOD THING.
Beware, though! Aside the cheap imports, a new model of service and after-sales support has emerged... and it's often as cheap as the product itself.
Granby is different: Not only have we been selling motorcycles - Japanese, European & Chinese - for decades; we've also been repairing them, tuning them, supplying spare parts... we've even been racing.

We supply bikes for all tastes and budgets - the biggest, well-known brands AND inexpensive bikes from the top factories in China.
Our China-imported bikes have been discerningly selected on the basis of value for money and (importantly) quality. Where possible, we've been to inspect the factory itself and quality control is always at the top of our list.
